TRMNGR vs Master Tour: an honest Master Tour alternative
Competitor details checked October 7, 2026 from their public websites. Features and prices change, so check their sites before deciding.
Master Tour, made by Eventric, is the long-established name in tour management software. If you are looking for a Master Tour alternative, here is a plain comparison based on Master Tour’s own public pages and TRMNGR’s actual features. We make TRMNGR, so read this with that in mind; we have tried to be fair and to say where Master Tour is stronger.

Where Master Tour is stronger
- Track record. Eventric says it was founded in 2000 by tour managers, and Master Tour has been used on large tours for years. TRMNGR is new.
- Travel tools. Live flight tracking, TripIt import and routing calculations are things TRMNGR doesn't have.
- Offline editing. Master Tour advertises full offline editing with sync. TRMNGR doesn't make that claim.
- Desktop apps and Android. Native apps for macOS, Windows and Linux, and Android today. TRMNGR is a web app plus an iPhone beta, with Android coming.
- Broadcast notifications and guest list requests. Sending alerts to groups, and guest list allotments, requests and cutoffs.
- Databases. Built-in venue and personnel directories.
- Budgeting. Their site mentions budgeting and expense tracking. TRMNGR has no budget, per diem or expense tools.
Where TRMNGR may fit better
- No install. Everything runs in a browser, so the drummer with a Chromebook and the TM with a Mac use the same thing.
- Stage tools in the same app. Setlists with runtimes and performing-rights checkboxes, a drag-and-drop stage plot with risers, and an input list, all exporting PDFs.
- Per-area permissions for everyone. Give each person View or Edit on each part of the tour, and copy one person's access to the whole band or crew with Apply to all crew.
- Settlement worksheets. Box office, deal, merch, expenses, cash and settlement due for every show, with a template you apply to every date, plus cash deposits.
- Square merch. On-hand and sold counts by size from Square, read-only.
- Bands that run themselves. Anyone can create a tour and share it, and crew can be given edit access to just the parts they own.
Moving from Master Tour
There's no direct import from Master Tour. TRMNGR can import a tour from its own Excel format (All Tours → Import/Export), so the practical path is to add dates on the Calendar and fill in days as you advance them. Our quick start walks through it.
