Walkout
What the artist actually leaves the venue with after settlement.
Walkout is the amount the artist actually walks out of the venue with after settlement, once deposits, advances and any deductions have been accounted for. On offers, "walkout potential" means the most the artist could earn if the show sells out.
Example
The deal settles at $3,400. The artist received a $1,000 deposit before the show and owes the venue $150 for a missed merch commission, so the night's walkout is $2,250 in cash or check. (EXAMPLE numbers.)
Why it matters
Walkout is the number that hits the tour's bank account, so it's the one to track against the budget. Note it at settlement, and if it's cash, log the deposit as soon as you can.
